If you’ve ever readied yourself and embarked on a substantial road trip (especially one with kids) you’ve undoubtedly heard the phrase, “are we there yet?” ad nauseam. And let’s face it, as humans, we’re just not good at living in the middle—smack dab between where we once were and where we will one day be. But what if God has a plan to prepare us and form us into a people of deepening trust and dependence on Him during those seasons? Throughout this new series, we’ll be looking at the Exodus journey of the Israelites (from Egypt to the Promised Land) and the various challenges they needed to face in order to take up residency in a new locale. And hopefully, as we do, we’ll be open to the ways the Lord wants to prepare us for the transitions we face in life—both personally and corporately as a church.
